Tomorrow - Teen Wolf TV Series Recaps Start

Later tonight, on a completely tangentially related and ironic note, I found something I have to share---thoughts on Disney's Midnight Madness.

Seriously, there must be commentary on a film in which my two fave big screen werewolves are brothers.

THIS HAPPENED AND IT INVOLVES A LOT OF BEER.

Teen Wolf Too (1987)

I won't have nearly as much to say about this one as I did about Teen Wolf. Others have pointed out this is basically a remake with Jason Bateman playing the cousin of Michael J. Fox's character from the first one, and the whole film is just a complete mess!

Teen Wolf (1985)

This is more of an essay on it than a Good/Bad/Verdict. I'm doing this first, the sequel (yes there is one) on Thursday, and recapping the first 24 episodes of the current series before Teen Wolf the Series returns for recapping in June. So for those of you who haven't seen Teen Wolf (1985) this is the trailer.

Before I get to the nitty gritty under the cut, I'll tell give you a short few facts about this movie. To be honest, not much is known. There's no commentary, few cut scenes, and the few times Fox has talked about it, he's just mocked the Hell out of it. I highly recommend the Inside the Actors Studio with him cause the applause this movie gets is super funny. Also, as you can tell from the trailer, this movie suffers from the luckiest timing in history just about. This was shot first (in fact Back to the Future was scouting locations on the block where they were shooting this and I have been told but I'm too lazy to check my BttF blu ray that Scott's house is Lorraine McFly's.) Anyway, much like The Man in the Iron Mask with Titanic, this was one of those rare incidences where an actor's newest film out came in second to the long running favorite the same actor had out. Sort of colors how the whole marketing must have been run (IMDB says that they didn't even bother to make sense titling it in other countries and in Brazil literally called it The Boy from the Future).

This came first and the reason I bother to mention it is because if Fox hadn't hit it big as an 80s icon with BttF, I doubt we'd remember this had ever happened. Seriously, if like Ricky Schroeder or Kirk Cameron had made it, it'd be in the same piles and rarely heard from status as My Best Friend is a Vampire and Teen Witch. Luckily that's so not the case.

Also, that wasn't the fun thing

After class, there's an in depth recap/essay on this:

Movie Review - Beautiful Creatures

I'm trying to study up a bit more on what makes my own genre tick. I've seen all the Twilight movies. (Mostly because they are hysterical. If you can sit through "skin of a killer" and not laugh you lack a funny bone.) I checked out Beautiful Creatures, since it was based on another popular paranormal romance series. I know it actually lost money at the box office but I was still curious. Having my family be from North Carolina and having lived in North Carolina and Alabama, I was curious to also see the representation of the South in the film. So here's my verdict below.

I did have a fun thing to start today...

...but out of respect for those in Boston, instead I'm just going to let everyone know I'm thinking of you all and praying.
